Dress Code

Dress Code

All members, their guests, and other visitors are expected to dress in a manner that reflects the prestige of the Club and to adhere to the dress code, both in the clubhouse and on the course.

Members are responsible for ensuring their guests are aware of and comply with the dress code, helping to avoid any awkward or uncomfortable situations regarding attire. Anyone not complying with the dress code may be denied access to Club facilities by Management.

Please note: The Club may, at its discretion, relax dress standards for selected social, dining, or other events.

ACCEPTABLE GOLF COURSE ATTIRE (including all Practice Areas)
General: Neat dress.
Women's General Attire: Golf dresses or collared shirts and tailored pants, shorts, skorts, or skirts.
Men's Trousers/Shorts: Tailored trousers or shorts worn with a belt.
Shirts: Shirts must have a collar. Mock-collar golf shirts are permitted if designed for golf wear.
* Men - shirts must be tucked into trousers or shorts.
* Women - shirts may be untucked.
Socks: Must be matching and visible above the shoe-line.
Footwear: Regulation golf shoes (with soft spikes).
Headwear: Caps must be worn with the brim facing forward.

ACCEPTABLE CLUBHOUSE ATTIRE (including the Balcony)
General Dress: Smart-casual (including acceptable golf course attire). Denim fabric clothing is permitted but must not be frayed, ripped, patched or dirty.
Footwear: Boat shoes, casual shoes (with or without laces), and golf shoes resembling running shoes are permitted.
* Men: Sandals and thong-style shoes are not permitted.
* Women: Dress sandals and leather thong-style shoes are permitted. Headwear Not permitted (except for medical reasons).

Active wear
Active wear or gym clothes are permitted when attending a scheduled exercise or physio session in the Clubhouse. Individuals wearing active wear may use the toilets and purchase food and drink from the cafe for takeaway consumption only. Active wear is not permitted on the golf course, practice areas, on the balcony, or in the clubhouse (except when going to change clothes in the locker room).

UNACCEPTABLE ATTIRE IN THE CLUB AND ON THE COURSE 
  • Cargo style pants or shorts.
  • Pants with large pockets or drawstring waists.
  • Shorts that extend below the knee.
  • Denim fabric clothing is not permitted on the course.
  • Any ripped, patched, or faded garments.
  • Stretch pants, gym tights (unless worn under appropriate attire for sun protection and without logos).
  • Singlet tops and collarless T-shirts.
  • Any clothing deemed inappropriate by Club management or Golf Shop staff.
By following this dress code, we ensure a comfortable atmosphere which reflects the status of Cromer Golf Club.
