Director of Golf | Certified PGA Professional
Lauren Sheils is the Director of Golf at Cromer Golf Club, bringing a wealth of experience from both elite playing and club management.
Lauren turned professional in 2013 and competed on the ALPG and Symetra Tours, with career highlights including two professional wins in the United States and representing Australia at the Queen’s Cup in Japan. She is a certified PGA Professional with advanced qualifications in Management and brings valuable experience from her time at Elanora Country Club and Pennant Hills Golf Club.
Lauren is passionate about all aspects of the game, particularly retail, member services, and golf operations, and enjoys helping golfers of all levels get more from their time at the club. She is focused on building strong connections with members and continuing Cromer’s friendly, welcoming culture.

Daniel Priest
Head Teaching Professional | Certified PGA Professional
Head Teaching Professional Daniel Priest brings a wealth of experience to coaching golfers of all abilities, from beginners to accomplished competitors.
Daniel began his journey in golf through the Junior Academy at Cromer Golf Club in 2008 and has maintained a strong connection with the club ever since, both as a committed member and as part of the Pro Shop team.
He completed his PGA Traineeship at Cronulla Golf Club in 2018 before moving into a management role with Golf Mart. In 2020, Daniel returned to Cromer Golf Club as Assistant Professional, where he continues to play an integral role in player development and club operations.
Since becoming a fully qualified PGA Professional, Daniel has demonstrated a strong commitment to ongoing learning and to growing the game of golf.
In 2025, he achieved a professional tournament win and continues to challenge himself by competing regularly in professional events.

Jared Harvey
Assistant Professional | Certified PGA Professional
Jared Harvey joins Cromer Golf Club as Assistant Professional, bringing experience in both Coaching and Golf Shop Management. A former junior at Camden Golf Club and a PGA trainee and Teaching Professional at Elanora Country Club, Jared has a passion for junior development, pennant competition, and golf improvement at all levels.
Jared has also gained valuable international experience, having spent time caddying on the Asian Tour for Australian Tour professionals including John Lyras, Brett Rankin, and Brett Coletta, giving him unique insight into high-level performance.
He is Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified, TrackMan Certified, and a Callaway and Titleist Master Fitter, combining coaching expertise, technology, and equipment knowledge to help golfers get the most from their game. Jared is committed to delivering high-quality, professional lessons and supporting Cromer members in achieving their golfing goals.

Fynlay Nicholls
PGA Associate Professional
Fynlay Nicholls is the Trainee Professional in the Pro Shop at Cromer Golf Club. His strong passion for the game has developed quickly since he took up golf nearly four years ago. What started as a new interest has turned into a real commitment to building a career in the golf industry.
Fynlay began his journey in the golf industry at Drummond Golf before joining Cromer Golf Club, initially working under the previous Head Professional, Nick Robb. Now guided by Lauren Sheils, Jared Harvey, and Daniel Priest, Fynlay benefits from the support and experience of a strong mentoring team, providing him with an excellent foundation as he works towards becoming a respected member of the PGA.
Along with his professional growth, Fynlay is very interested in the equipment and technology aspects of golf. He enjoys seeing how the right clubs and gear can impact players at every level. He is also eager to keep playing and discovering the many excellent golf courses in New South Wales. This allows him to merge his passion for the game with the chance to learn and improve as a trainee professional.

George Goodman
Golf Operations Assistant
George Goodman has been a Professional Shop Assistant at Cromer Golf Club since February 2022. With a strong interest in the technical and equipment side of the game, he began playing golf around five years ago and has since developed a genuine appreciation for both the sport and the industry.
George has gained experience across a variety of roles within golf, providing him with a well-rounded understanding of club operations. His background includes working as a ground's person at Elanora Country Club and Manly Golf Club, before progressing into pro shop roles at Cromer Golf Club and The Lakes Golf Club. Through this experience, George has developed solid practical skills in club repairs, regripping, and club building, and enjoys assisting golfers with their equipment needs.
Alongside his work in the Pro Shop, George is currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering. This academic background supports his interest in golf technology and modern club design, particularly how innovation in equipment can enhance performance for players of all abilities. George continues to build his knowledge and experience while contributing positively to the Cromer Golf Club environment.
